Leo Koo brings over 14 years of middle-market M&A transaction experience to his role as Kustom’s CFO. He has led over 20 deals, amounting to over $500 million in closed acquisitions, capital financings, equity raises, notes offering, and joint ventures.
Prior to joining Kustom US, Leo was the former Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, and Treasurer of Restore POC and was appointed by the investment committee of the company’s majority owner. Before his tenure at Restore POC, Leo was a Principal with Penta Mezzanine Fund, where his focus was on securing diverse growth capital financings. There, he led investments in a variety of industry sectors—including business services, real estate, apparel, midstream oil and gas services, vitamins and nutritional supplements, and healthcare. Leo oversaw every aspect of the investment process spanning sourcing, transaction execution, and portfolio company oversight.
Before his accomplishments at Penta, Leo served as a Vice President for Comvest Partners, a $3.4 billion private equity firm, where he led business development efforts for the firm’s equity and growth lending funds. He started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he managed audit engagements for various public and private companies. Leo received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of South Florida and is an active Certified Public Accountant in Florida.
Leo grew up in Argentina, enjoys outdoor activities, and is a NAUI-certified rescue scuba diver and NAUI skin-diving instructor.
